A rare caricature map of Ireland, featuring a man in ragged clothes, a pipe in his mouth and a child in his arms, with a pig at his feet. All the placenames are coastal.
Lilian Lancaster (1852-1939) produced several caricature maps (also under her married name of Tennant), most famously the 'Aleph' series of maps of European countries.
