It is overprinted with advertising for 'The Borneo Company Ltd', a company founded in 1856 by some associates of James Brooke, marking the company's location in Battery Road at the mouth of the Singapore River. The company advertises Rolex and Tudor watch sales and services, and Sheaffer 'Snorkel' pens.
