Description

The Greek hero Perseus carrying the head of Medusa, with the constellation Musca Borealis, originally 'Apes' (plural of Apis, bee) when created by Petrus Plancius in 1612, now discarded. Plate 28 of 'The Beauty of the Heavens: a pictorial display of the astronomical phenomena of the universe'.

Condition:

A good example.
