The apparent motion of the Planets around the Earth

A fascinating astronomy plate explaining the spiral motions of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn as seen from Earth according to Tycho Brahe's theory that the sun revolved around the Earth but the planets revolved around the sun. The orbit of Mars was estimated as two years, Jupiter eleven and Saturn twenty-nine. Seven cherubs represent the bodies of the solar system.
