Description

A view of Edinburgh, looking from the walls of Edinburgh Castle towards Calton Hill and the Firth of Forth. In the middle distance are the Scottish National Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Scott Monument. William McCraw was a professional photographer based in Edinburgh. Born c.1824, he traded in partnership as Simson & McCraw in 1858, before trading alone until 1883, at different addresses including 79 Princes Street.

Condition:

A good example.
