Description

A fine English pocket globe by John Newton (1759-1844), with an earlier date than any listed by Dekker. The mapping is up-to-date: Tasmania is shown separate from mainland Australia, as determined by Matthew Flinders and George Bass 1798-99.

Condition:

Case tight.
