London: Newton, 1800. 3" (75mm) terrestrial globe with hand-coloured gores and metal pivot, in its original fishskin case with celestial gores in the interior, with brass hingle and two clasps.

A fine English pocket globe by John Newton (1759-1844), with an earlier date than any listed by Dekker.
The mapping is up-to-date: Tasmania is shown separate from mainland Australia, as determined by Matthew Flinders and George Bass 1798-99.
