Description

A map of the environs of Split in Croatia, with the town shown in profile. It was originally published in 1598 in Valegio's pocket atlas of town plans, 'Raccolta di le piu illustri et famose citta di tutto il mondo', but his example comes from the 'Universus terrarum orbis', a geographical lexicon by Raphael Savonarola (also known as Alphonso Lasor a Varea).

Condition:

A good example.
