Description

A highly-detailed 3-sheet map of Palestine under the British Mandate, on a scale of 1:250,000, covering from Tyre in Lebanon south to the Bay iof Aqabar. It marks roads of different qualities, railways, antiquities and wadis, and differentiates between Arab and Jewish villages. It was compiled by the Survey of Palestine, the official mapping agency established in 1920, which transitioned into the Survey of Israel following the end of British rule in 1948.
