Description
Venezuela, with the Windward Islands (including Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago) and Lesser Antilles (including Curaçao and Aruba).
The plate was one of the plates engraved by Jodocus Hondius II and purchased by Willem Blaeu after his death in 1629, much to the displeasure of his brother Henricus Hondius and brother-in-law Jan Jansson, who continued the Hondius firm.
