Description

A beautiful double-hemisphere celestial chart, with the pictorial constellations named in Italian, published in the Mercurio Geografico. In the borders are depictions of the sun, moon and the known planets. The text beneath the chart describes the manuscript celestial globe made by astronomer Francesco Brunacci (1640-1703) as one of a pair of globes produced by De Rossi's workshop and now in the Isimbardi Palace in Milan.
