Description
A large print of a Russian warship with 188 cannon, at anchor at the freeport of Livorno on the coast of Tuscany, detailing the rigging of its three masts. Down the sides are 10 inset scenes of the building of another ship in the shipyards of the port.
The plate was engraved by Venetian Joseph Angeli and published five years before Napoleon Bonaparte captured Tuscany and deposed Ferdiand III, the last Grand Duke.
