Description
A caricature of Frances Anne Vane (1800-65), Marchioness of Londonderry,
riding a galloping horse side-saddle, in a skirted approximation of the uniform of the 10th Hussars (regiment of her husband, Charles, who adopted her surname on their marriage), with false moustache.
The headline news of the 1829 review was that the Prime Minister, the Duke of Wellington, fell from his horse.
