Description

A map of Hungary and Transylviania, now part of western Romania. Unusually for the period, it marks the major roads, including the Red Tower Pass (Turnu Rosu) through the Carpathian Mountains and the Iron Gate Pass (Vaskapu) between Hungary and Translyvania. Moll first published his 'Atlas Minor' in 1729 but, shortly after his death in 1732, Thomas Bowles and his son John reissued it with plate numbers added.
