Description

Ortelius's map of Denmark in full double page format, uncommon because it was replaced in 1581 by a half-plate map. This example has the pagination of the 1579 edition written over the number of the 1574 edition: the publishers were obviously using up the unused sheets of the earlier edition.

Condition:

A good example.
