A fine map of Poland after Waclaw Grodecki (c.1535-91), published in Ortelius's famous 'Theatrum Orbis Terrarum' atlas, regarded as the first atlas in the modern sense of the word, with the maps designed to fit the book.
An example of the first plate of two, used between 1570 and 1593, first state.
