Description

A promotionial calendar for 1948, with a map of the world with the British Empire marked in red and showing the principal steamship and air routes. It was issued by the Bristol branch of an Australian Insurance company founded in 1869 and still operating from Brisbane under the AXA umbrella. One of the directors is Stanley Bruce, 1st Viscount Bruce of Melbourne, Prime Minister of Australia 1923-9.
