Description

A plan of the Battle of Cartagena de Indias, in which the English, led by Francis Drake, captured the Spanish colony as part of the same hositilies as the Spanish Armada. Based on the map by Baptista Boazio (1589), it shows the English landing on La Caleta, avoiding the boom laid across the harbour mouth, and marking towards the city. Published in Coronelli's 'Isolario'.
