A large and decorative map of London and its immediate environs, with Hammersmith in the west clockwise to Cricklewood, Highgate, Leyton, Stratford, East India Dock, Lewisham, Dulwich, Streatham, Wandsworth, Putney & Barn Elms. First published in 1828, this edition has been updated to show the rapid expansion of London. Victoria and Battersea Parks are marked, established in 1845 and 1846; the development of the Landsdown Estate is shown; Brunel's Hungerford Suspension Bridge, opened 1845, is marked; and the Houses of Parliament are shown under construction, having burned down in 1824.
