Description

A highly-detailed wall map of Spain and Portugal, after Don Thomas Lopez de Vargas Machuca (1730-1802), Geographer to the King of Spain. This Austrian edition was published the year that Joseph-Napoleon Bonaparte, Napoleon's older brother, was proclaimed king of Spain as José I, and British troops landed in Iberia under Sir Arthur Wellesley, later the Duke of Wellington.
