Description

An early sea chart of the mouth of the Pearl River and Hong Kong, although with more blank areas than verified detail. Macao and Lantao are both marked, and Hong Kong appears as 'Fanchin Chow' but incomplete, with doubt about whether it was an island. From the enlarged edition of Mannevillette's 'Le Neptune Oriental', his guide for sailing to the East Indies, based on his own experience and other captains of the Compagnie des Indes.
