Description
'The Monster of Cracow was a deformed child said to have been born in 1547, with faces embedded in its body. Here it is depicted with a long proboscis, dog heads on its knees and elbows, eyes on its abdomen and monkey heads on its chest.
The illustration is based on one in Pierre Boaistua's 'Histoires Prodigieuses'.
