Description
An English version of D'Anville's map of eastern and southern North America, with the West Indies, with Hudson Bay and Baffin Bay shown in an inset. The map is important for marking the terms of the Treaty of Paris, 1763, bringing to an end the Seven Year's War (or French and Indian War). A text by the decorative title cartouche lists the clauses relating to the Americas, including the ceding of Canada and Florida to Britain.
The map was published in 'Mr. Postlethwayte's Dictionary of Trade & Commerce'.
