Description

A woodcut map of Edinburgh from the north, with a nine-point key of buildings. It was published in the ''Cosmographie Universelle', which contained the text of Munster's 'Cosmography' translated into French by Belleforest, and maps copied from sources including Ortelius and Braun & Hogenberg as well as Munster.

Condition:

A good example.
