A woodcut of Africa from the 'Itinerarum Sacrae Scripturae'. Interesting features marked include: the mythical kingdom of Prester John; the source of the Nile in the mythical 'Mountains of the Moon; and the land of the 'elephant-eaters' (Elephantophagi).
