Description

A Venetian map of London, published in Coronelli's ''Citta', fortezze, isole, e porti principali dell' Europa...'', decorated with the arms of England and the City of London. Despite showing the layout of the streets carefully, the map is unusually devoid of names, even lacking a key: The Thames is the only named feature, in both Italian and Latin: Fiume Tamigi and Tamesis Fluvius.

Condition:

A good example.
