Description
A map of the Gulf States, showing Charleston in Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas. It is based on French sources, and depicts the Mississippi Delta, the names of the local tribes and, unusually, the routes of explorers across the south.
Moll first published his 'Atlas Minor' in 1729 but, shortly after his death in 1732, Thomas Bowles and his son John reissued it with plate numbers added, as this example.
