Description

A very scarce woodcut map of Cyprus, derived from Camoccio's map of 1566 via Ortelius's version of 1570. It was published in the ''Cosmographie Universelle', with the text of Munster's 'Cosmography' translated into French by Belleforest and maps copied from various sources including Ortelius and Braun & Hogenberg.

Condition:

A good example.
