Description
An uncommon map of North west Africa, with a decoative tiitle cartouche featuring a leopard killing a native.
Cassini's atlas, the 'Nuovo Atlante Geografico Universale', was a luxury work, with decorated maps on heavy paper, but was published at a time that the market was for more scientific (and cheaper) maps. It sold badly and so Cassini's maps are scarce.
