Description

A very decorative map of Russia, with an inset plan of Moscow, and views of Narva Castle (now Estonia), Archangel, 'The Emperours Court', 'A Hott House' and 'A Mill of Russia. On the reverse is an English language "Description of Russia''. Although Speed's atlas ''A Prospect of the most famous Parts of the World'', was first published in 1627, this map, engraved by Francis Lamb, only appeared in the 1676 edition. As this was the last edition of the atlas Russia is one of the rarest of the series.

Condition:

Very minor restoration.
