A miniature map of the Persian Gulf, from the first set of plates used for the 'Tabularum Geographicarum Contractarum' pocket atlas, engraved either by Jodocus Hondius or Pieter van der Keere. It can be identified by the thin printed borders. This is one of the few maps of the period to focus on the Persian Gulf.
