Description

A map of western Africa from the Tropic of Cancer south to Cameroon, with the supposed course of the Niger River. The European settlements include the infamous slave forts of Elmina and Osu Castle (the Danish Fort Christiansborg). Moll first published his 'Atlas Minor' in 1729 but, shortly after his death in 1732, Thomas Bowles and his son John reissued it with plate numbers added.
