Description

A pre-fire prospect of London, from a supposed hill south of Southwark, centred on the old St Paul's Cathedral, which had already lost its steeple to lightning. The only named features are 'White Hall', 'The Tower', 'The Bridge', 'Tamesis flu', 'South Wark' and 'Beare Baiting'. In the foreground men admire the view, seated on the hill with their dogs. From 'La galerie agréable du Monde'.
